Its all coming together. Got a new job working at Blockbusters, so few extra pennies to rub together while I work on my main plan. Going in tomorrow at 3 to fill in some paperwork, and have a brief induction. Easy stuff.
Also ordered some computer related gizmotrons. Good way to keep my cheer, and at the same time reduce the noise of my PC and hopefully make light sleepers happier 
The list so far looks like thus:
- Lian-Li PC-6002 case (with alum bezels!) Lovely case, weighs near to nothing, and has 2 fans at the front to keep the HDs cool. Will mod them to be 7V
- Abit NF7-S motherboard. Probably one of the best socket A boards out there. Should I wish to overclock, this baby is the one to go for. Onboard Soundstorm, SATA, RAID, LAN etc etc, should mean I can burn CDs and DVDs at full speed without so much as battering an eyelid! Thats the dream!
- Finally, my favourite bit - a Thermalright SLK-947U heatsink. One serious hunk of copper, and one of the very best socket A coolers available. This is one really lovely piece of kit, and its mine, all mine! Getting it with a Panaflo fan which is very quiet (at least until I can afford some Silenx fans!)
I don’t expect massive increases in speed, but a cooler and quieter system is within my grasp! (The speed increase will come with a 3200+ processor and an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro card that will come later in the summer!) Its all good! Need to make a list of stuff to sell myself!
In other news…. watched Go today as recommended by Neil. Most enjoyable and laughed a few times (especially the bit in Vegas!) Go watch it yourselves! Still have many a film to watch tho. I think I will watch Brazil next…
