It’s been a couple of days since my last post, and much has happened. Well not in the grand scheme of things, but that’s irrelevant.
I’ve been at work the last couple of days, and am in fact at work for the next few days (I’m on a 7 day in a row stint). It’s been good though. I’ve been working with Shaun, and he seemed to inspire me to do lots of work and not much messing about!
Everyone here has gone to Norwich for the weekend. Which means I have the house all to myself. Which you would think would be a good thing. Sadly the house just feels empty and I miss them already. Which is really weird because when I have been away from home I haven’t felt quite the same way.
Let’s talk TV. I watched Smallville on Thursday and it were great. The episode contained “The Flash”. I say this in loose terms because he is not exactly the Flash, but the names he used are the names of the actual “Flashes”. Yes, there was more than 1 Flash. They were quite accurate in the speeds of the Flash vs Superman. While Superman aka Clark Kent is very fast, the Flash is actually much faster and the fastest man on Earth. I like this.
It was an enjoyable episode, and Lex is still being a bad boy despite his promises. Excellent!
I also watched the first episode of the new Battlestar Galactica series and loved that as well. I was glad that it followed on from the pilot and they didn’t decide to start from scratch. The storyline is quite bleak. The humans have been all but wiped out by the Cylons, and try as they might, their numbers just keep getting smaller. The fact that they had all been awake for the past 5 days just trying to stay ahead of the Cylon forces showed their struggle. Also there is a confusing storyline concerning a Cylon woman who keeps appearing all over the place. Which is good because she tend to wear tight low-cut outfits. Mint! As I say its confusing at this point, but I’m sure as the series progresses things will become a bit clearer.
One thing I really like about it is the space scenes. The thing you first notice is the silence. Which is good because in space “No one can hear you scream”. Also the space scenes are filmed as though someone with a handheld camera is filming it. Which lend to it a unique style that I really like. Especially since on a computer generated sequence you don’t expect the rough filming style. Only a small point really, but I do enjoy it. I recommend you check it out for yourselves.
I finally got my radio fitted. My uncle made some tools to extract the factory-fitted Peugeot radio, and it was a job and a half. Once he realised how the clips work, it popped straight out. Magic! There wasn’t time for him to fit the radio before he left for work, so I came home and did it myself. It was quite an easy job really. And it sounds great! I got Club Nights on a CD and have been grooving away ever since! Very mint!!

Jeronimo,
I too saw the new episode of Smallville featuring The Flash as a kid. I too thought that the episode was very good, some nice moments in there. It also proves that The Flash is indeed the fastest man on the planet.
Jame and I also watched the Battlestar Galatica about 9 months ago and thought it was absolutely brillant; we can’t wait for the new series that starts in Jan. 2005.
We have also downloaded the new Farscape Peacekeeper Wars mini-series, which we have yet to watch, but the trailer looks good.
We have started to watch the new series of Star Trek: Enterprise. Thank God the Xindi storylines have died.
We are also loyal fans of the Stargate franchise, and the new Altantis is Ok-ish. Dr. Weir is hot, but the Taylor character is so boring.
SG-1 still remains to be the bolloxs.
That’s about it…
