Its been a while since I last posted, and much has taken place. So much that my bad memory has forgotten some of it, but I’ll try to write about all I remember!
I have been in MK a lot recently, which is like a second home to me. And its been fabulous. I have been very lucky in that work has kept me in the area quite a bit, which means I’ve been able to stay there longer than I normally would be able to.
I was there all weekend, and until Tuesday when I very sadly had to return to Derby.
On Wednesday I had to travel to London for a pre-sales meeting which went rather well. I was excellent again.
On Thursday night I drove back to see Cat again. On Friday we managed to get up early (well Cat did, I kind of crawled to the shower), and began our drive down to Brighton. It was a surprisingly pleasant journey, and even the M25 behaved itself.
It was actually Brighton Marina that we were visiting, and it was glorious. I hadn’t expected it to be so big, but there was a supermarket, many many outlet shops, and plenty of bars and restaurants.
The place is relatively new, and once I found where I needed to park, Cat went shopping while I went to work. Fortunately work was relatively straight forward and fast, and I was finished in an hour. I had been clever enough to take a change of clothes, so once in my t-shirt and shorts, I met up with Cat, looking at the glorious boats as I went by.
Cat is gorgeous, and so once I had fought my way through the admiring crowds, I managed to meet up with her in a café. We wandered around, I bought a book, and then we went and sat in a Lloyd’s drinking cider, eating chilli con carne and paella, and admiring the boats in the glorious sunshine.
Eventually we called it a day and headed back to MK. The M25 was not very forgiving on the return journey and we easily added an hour onto our trip back.
On Saturday, we headed to Nottingham to meet up with Phil and Dan. We went for a cider etc. It was good to see them, especially Dan who is off to Southampton at the end of the week. Phil had to leave to go see his lady, and so Cat, Dan and I, went to have some good italian food, before heading back to the bus station to put Cat on the National Express back to MK. Bye Cat
I gave Dan a lift back to his house, then came home, thoroughly exhausted. On Sunday, I spent all day tidying my room. The difference is incredible, like night and day. I can finally get around in my room, and see the floor!!
I didn’t manage to get all things done that I wanted to which was a shame, but there are just not enough hours in a day.
I’m in the office all week, so there will be precious few tales to tell. Expect another post in about 2 weeks or so!!
I’ve been to Brighton a few times… and seen Mark Little and all the gays. Ooops, I mean guys! No, I was right first time. Right up your street. Or up something else… lol ;-P
