There is no doubt about it any more. I am getting old, and getting responsible. There comes a certain point when you realise you can’t continue to act like a kid any more. Ok so I am not there yet, but its coming!! This was the big quarter of a century and as such it was marked with some great events.

On the 9th November Cat arranged a birthday meal for me at the Jaipur restaurant in MK. All the folks of MK were invited as well as a few of my home brew buddies ala Johnno and Kenyon (of which we had a record 50% attendance). The food was very good, the company delightful. It was great to see so many faces there, especially as I am mostly a tourist of MK. For my present the peoples all bought me a portable lap dancing pole. I’m planning to keep it in my car for emergencies

But my favourite present was the cake Cat got specially for me. You can hopefully all see a big picture of it up above. I thought it was just perfect. Thanks Cat!

On my actual birthday we drove to Derby for a brief collection of my post, before going on to York. After rushing there to try and get to the car park before it closed, we need not have bothered as it was open an hour later than we had been led to believe, so we were there with plenty of time

The hotel was very close to the centre of York, so we spent most of the time dipping in and out of the hotel to go shopping or to eat. We had a couple of lovely meals in Café Uno. We also went to the Jorvik viking centre and went on the tour there. It smells, for any of you planning to go yourselves!!

Which reminds me of another fabulous present Cat bought me. Its a book called Perfume and is available in all good book stores

I also bought a lovely scarf. Next time you see me, ask to see it! I was in York for 3 days before returning to MK for a training course

I had a lovely birthday, and its one I shall remember. Its a wonderful thing to be with your girlfriend on your birthday and I recommend it to all straight men, lesbians and bisexuals everywhere!!
